Welcome to July on The Artisan Food Trail. We’d like to welcome three new members to The Artisan Food Trail this month - The Yorkshire Wagyu Company, Tg Green Teas and Barefoot Biltong. This month has been a hot one so far and judging by the aromas in the air there are plenty of people lighting up the barbeque and cooking outdoors - so now’s the time to try our Peruvian-Style Grilled Chicken using Capsican’s Cook Sauces. To finish off, why not also try our Muesli Cake using The Linseed Farm’s linseed meal. We’ve been putting The Hungy Guest’s Basil Pesto to the test and have given it our approval. We also give you '20 ways with pesto’, other than pasta.. For producers, you’ve a few days left to get you entries in for the Food Business Challenge for a chance to win up to £5000 of help to grow your business.

The Yorkshire Wagyu Company
Wagyu is the only breed of cattle that is bred exclusively for flavour and eating quality. The marbling in the beef is what gives it succulence and flavour. The Yorkshire Wagyu Company rear the biggest herd of British Wagyu in the UK for you to enjoy. The cattle are slow grown, fed on home-grown, fertiliser-free forage and the unnecessary use of antibiotics is avoided.

Tg Green Teas
Disappointed by years of ambiguous on-pack labelling and iced teas loaded with calories and sugar, Hua and Sophia turned to a Hampshire based tea expert to help create a special range of iced teas that are high on refreshingly natural tea and low in sugar! This is no pricey plant sap. This is Tg. Smart. Sassy. Social.

Barefoot Biltong
BareFoot Biltong produces some of the best beef biltong in the UK. They ensure that they source only British, traceable and quality assured meat, giving them a tender, flavourful raw product even before they start to make the biltong.

Peruvian-Style Grilled Chicken
In The Artisan Food Trail kitchen we often like to experiment, so we took Capsicana's Chilli & Lemon Peruvian Cook Sauce, added a few extras and turned it into an extra special marinade for chicken.

Pesto Perfection from The Hungry Guest
Pesto has become an indispensable kitchen ingredient these days. It is tasty and quick to use and transforms an otherwise dull meal into something rather more exciting. We’ve been testing out the Basil Pesto from The Hungry Guest made by their chefs in West Sussex.

Muesli Cake with Linseed Meal
This muesli cake is sticky, moist, fruity and wonderfully malty. It could be best described as being something like bread pudding and malt loaf. Could it be considered healthy? Well there's lots of fibre and a generous amount of linseed meal from The Linseed Farm added for omega 3 oomph..
