We really can’t believe that it’s already September on the food trail.
It’s been a food packed year here and it isn’t over yet. This month we bring you a new producer, Morgan House Foods, three new recipes using our producers' ingredients, and extended profiles of five producers that are on the trail. For those of you that enjoy game, especially grouse, or have thought that you might like to try this seasonal meat, The Blackface Meat Company have given us 2 boxes of 4 birds for you to try your luck and win. If you’re looking for shows, festivals or food markets, there’s plenty on our website for you and we’ll perhaps see you and our competition winners at the Aldeburgh Food & Drink Festival at the end of the month.

Growing garlic for Mark Botwright is a real down-to-earth passion. His preoccupation with the pungent bulbs has led him to create a successful small business, growing and selling elephant garlic from his farm in west Dorset. Elephant garlic is gaining popularity due to it being used on TV cookery programmes and more and more people want to try it.

In the modern world we have become separated from the realities of where our food comes from. Eating meat, for example, is something many of us do, but are we fully aware of how that meat eventually ends up on our plates? Do we really know what we are buying? With this in mind, the courses at Trealy Farm put people in touch with their food.

If you’d like to see your artisan food business up here on the trail with these and many more Great British producers why not send an email to info@artisanfoodtrail.co.uk telling us a little about your business and we’ll email or call you back to tell you more, or give us a call directly on 0844 995 9996.
