Ragini’s Mauritian Curry powder is a blend of Cumin, Coriander, Dried Red Chilli, Cinnamon, Cloves, Cardamom, Black Peppercorns and Turmeric which are dry roasted to release their aromatic compounds. This adds complexity and depth to the flavours . The spices are then ground to a fine powder and blended together to create the same aromatic mélange of aromas and flavours that you would find on the Island of Mauritius.
Ragini’s Mauritian Curry Powder is the ideal seasoning for any number of dishes from vegetables, meat, seafood and fish to make a delicious curry. This can also be used as a rub or a marinade in many dishes. It can also be used to flavour dishes such as chilli con carne and shepherd pie, pulses etc.
Ragini’s Mauritian Curry Powder is suitable for vegans and is gluten free, nut free, dairy free and free from artificial additives or preservative.
Having been born in Mauritius, Tegaranee Ragini Phillips (Teggie) set up the company with husband Tim Phillips to bring a real taste of Mauritius to the UK.
“There’s no curry like a Mauritian curry!” commented Tim. “We wanted to allow people to experience a real, homemade, classic curry that before now could only be found in Mauritius. Having set up the company from scratch just a year ago, we are delighted with how customers have taken Ragini’s to their hearts. The feedback we have received has been phenomenal and we are keen to encourage more people to experience its unique and superior taste.”
Ragini's Mauritian Curry Powder can be found at Food Festivals around Southern and Eastern England most weekends. We will also be attending BBC Good Food Show, November 2016 and Taste of London Winter 20.
